Plants which get very tall when fully grown such as jungle val, anacharis and hornwort will all make excellent plants for the back wall of a planted aquarium. When setting up a live planted aquarium, using a terracing technique and planting plants short to tall front to back is a great way to make the aquarium seem larger than it is by giving it depth. To help prevent these tall plants from getting spindly and thin, consider using aquarium bulbs which are in the 6,500 to 10,000K light spectrum.
